How Hypnosis Helps In Understanding Our Behaviour

Hypnosis For Better Understanding

Hypnosis becomes successful when suggestions sent to the subconscious mind are accepted. We become conditioned by repeated suggestions.

One of the reasons we struggle in our daily lives is because of this conditioning. It is happening and we aren’t even aware of it.

With oceans of negativity around us it is very easy to fall into the trap of accepting everything we hear (especially when a large percentage of our peers are saying or doing the same thing). Suggestions are far more powerful and accepted much easier and faster when there are emotions involved.

Hypnosis beliefs are attached to emotions

Say for instance, you ate something and became ill directly after. You will forever associate that food with becoming ill. Logically, you know that each time you eat this food you will not get sick, that this was a chance happening.

However you had strong emotions involved, thus creating a belief. The belief is now ‘I can’t eat this, it will make me sick.’ Or what about a child for example who befriended a dog. This dog is large and although friendly, jumped up on the child in excitement and knocked him/her down. The child got a little hurt and cried. From that moment on the child fears big dogs. With emotion and pain going on at the same time it creates a belief. In this case ‘big dogs will hurt me.’

Using hypnosis to “undo” beliefs

Hypnosis can undo these beliefs. In hypnosis you can achieve emotional distance and therefore create new belief systems based on new and better understandings of old situations.

Positive suggestions based on emotion may be music. How many times do we hear a song that no matter how miserable we are, forget about it while the song is on? This because it brings back positive memories(emotions).

Christmas, for most, suggests giving and love.

Certain smells remind us of loved ones.

These are all examples of the conditioned mind. Conditioned based on emotion. I would like you now, to find one, only one, example of a belief you have that you can associate emotion with. Good or bad it does not matter. Awareness is the key to change.
